Forecasting New Drug Impact on Sales and Prices

Data Science Partners was retained to forecast the sales and prices of a newly-launched pharmaceutical drug in the U.S. Although the drug was marketed in European countries for several years, it was not approved for sale in the U.S. until recently. DSP analyzed extensive IMS-data on past sales and prices in the European countries for that drug, as well as other products in the same therapeutic category, to forecast post-launch sales and prices in the U.S.

Estimation of Cigarette Consumption

While detailed data on branded cigarette sales are readily available, data on consumption of cigarettes manufactured by and sold on Native American Reservations are virtually non-existent.  Data Science Partners has been retained to estimate the consumption of Native American cigarettes in the State of New York.  Using data from multiple sources, including state and national surveys, and complex statistical models, DSP economists were successful in estimating a reasonable range of consumption of Native American cigarettes in the state.
